Job profile
Qualified industrial clerks deal with commercial and business management tasks such as materials management, sales, marketing, personnel, finance and accounting. They

  • purchase goods and make sure they are available in time for production
  • plan, control and monitor production processes
  • determine the need for staff and training as well as carry out payroll accounting
  • handle financial and corporate accounting
  • prepare and obtain company controlling data and suggest improvements
  • support sales
  • develop and support logistics processes

Duration of training
Training to become an industrial clerk is in accordance with professional specifications and qualifications and takes three years. 


  • Successful completion of a two-year business and administration course at a business school


  • German Abitur (A levels) plus one year of business school
  • German Abitur (A levels)
