INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC SPECIALIISING IN PRODUCTION ENGENEERIN

Industrial mechanics working in the field of production engineering are qualified personnel, who

  • identify, rectify and document malfunctions in technical systems
  • monitor, operate and control production facilities and set up machinery
  • use technical systems in production
  • retrofit machinery and systems
  • carry out maintenance work and inspections
  • apply quality management principles in the area of operation

Duration of training
Training to become an industrial mechanic is in accordance with professional specifications and qualifications and takes 3.5 years.

Requirements

  • Certificate of secondary education
  • Good grades in maths and physics
  • An interest in technical processes
